Introduction to The Department

Architects are at the forefront of addressing the major challenges of the eleventh century. They apply the latest scientific knowledge and techniques to building design. Architecture as a relatively new licensed profession emerged in the 20th century as a result of rapid technological developments.
The architect began by imagining what the design would look like and then translating it onto the ground.

Mission of Architecture Engineering Program:

The Architecture Program at the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology in New Minya is committed to preparing distinguished engineering cadres capable of competing locally and regionally by providing high-quality educational services and distinguished scientific research to keep pace with the ongoing developments in the fields of architecture and urban planning and meet societal and environmental needs while adhering to professional ethics.

Goals of the Architecture Engineering Program:

1) Preparing architectural engineers scientifically and technically to compete in the local and regional market while adhering to professional values.

2) Qualifying both faculty members, assistant staff and program workers to play their role in achieving the program's mission and goals with high efficiency.

3) Supporting and developing research production and scientific and student activities.

4) Applying teaching, learning and evaluation methods and providing advanced educational services to ensure the achievement of the program's academic standards.

5) Concluding protocols with similar institutions to ensure the promotion and development of the program.

6) Meeting the needs and priorities of the surrounding community and working on environmental development.

7) Adopting the concept of comprehensive quality to ensure the development of all areas of work in the program.
